Hi Surekha,
I'm a Mainframe Developer aspiring to be DB2 DBA for Z/OS. I have been attending IDUG Bangalore conferences for two years and they are good. Thanks a lot for bringing them to us :)
I have concern that there aren't any proper Trainings available for one to become a an independent DBA on Z/os in Bangalore. Even if some training's are available in Bangalore, they are either to costly to afford or some are not upto the mark. I have almost spent Rs 50K for trainings in Bangalore but are not upto the mark and lack hands on experience.
Comparatively for LUW we have lot of online practical stuff available but not for z/OS.
Can IBM arrange some Trainings for DB2 DBA Z/OS at reasonable price? or can you do something about it?
Thanks,
Yogesh

Hi Surekha,
Thanks for adding me to the club. I am DB2 DBA working on DB2 V10 and I will soon be installing DB2 V11. I am currently trying to get certified for MS SQL Server 2008.
Hi Surekha,
Thanks for adding me to the club. I have been a mainframe developer since last 18 years and have recently started getting into Big Data. Infact I have formally done a course in Big Data. The only drawback is I have no experience of Java.
I know that DB2 is the real asset for any big size company and they would like to take the best advantage of that in future.
But I would like to have some real life samples of full blown DB2 HBASE application or at least some pointers on how to go about.
Your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Navin.
Hi all, it is my pleasure join to this new world.
